Peaceful - Voracious Blog Reader

Ah.....Life without a mobile phone is so peaceful.

I wonder why I need a mobile phone at all.

No more calls during driving, grocery shopping etc.

Soooo peaceful.

Really? How do you manage to fend questions enquiring about the two days that you were not reachable?

Atleast peaceful weekends for you right? Great.

@ Adiya

Guess what... I don't own a mobile at all!!! :D I don't miss anything by not owning one... And my parents are better informed of my where abouts than if i have a mobile! Jus another thing that people think I am weird!!! :)

It is an awesome feeling. I truly witnessed this bliss recently when I was onsite for few months, where I deliberately did not get a mobile phone, thinking ppl who need me would call on the home/office number.

It did work, and I could concentrate 100% on whatever I did. No tucking in the mobile under ur chin and shoulder while cooking/cleaning, no connectivity issues, no unwanted marketing sms, and most importantly I dont need to double check everytime I move outside my desk, home etc, if I have picked it up.

Loved the independance,actually!!

I rarely get a call to me on cell.

@ Ankur

No. I surrendered my connection.

@ Curious

Abstaining from something that everybody does/follows doesn't mean that one is weird. Way to go Curious.

@ Deekshanya

Hi Deekshanya. Welcome here.

Yes, total independence. And as you say 100% concentration. :)

@ Jeevan

Yes Jeevan. I wonder how many people use cellphones for its true purpose and others who just flaunt it and listen to radio. Abysmal.

Actually it would be more peaceful to me to have my husband's cell switched off than mine :P
But anyways what made you get on to this 'peaceful' break? Vacationing or weekending??

ROTFL.

Like I said before, I surrendered my connection. :)

Your site has a Trojan virus installed. My antivirus screamed.

Hi Minal,

Kaspersky detected it.

Hi Sree

Who said, cell phone is not not good. It is a great advantage. We could trace our dear ones when they get lost in a shopping mall or something. (May be Ankur could come up with a list of useful things (funny though)with a cell phone. Actually it is the technology marvel and it is up to the people to use it properly. Never disturb the people at odd time.

Ankur could be swithcing it off as he may not be contacted as urgently as others. For my kind of job, it is required to keep my cell phone on 24x7.

Never give the cell phone to every one. Do not print it on business cards.

@ Akanathan

Not passing on the mobile number is a good idea.

Yes, mobile could be inseparable with some professions.

For people who want to use it as a luxury product, it is a useless device.

The concept of mobile phones, reachable on the move etc., is just now. We have lived without it too.
